The Baja Bug Page Phoenix Bug-O-Rama 2000 pics
These pics were taken at the Bug-O-Rama in Phoenix Arizona on April 1st of 2000. This event had many baja bugs(some show, some go)so most of these pics are of the bajas. I figured I would do a little write up on each of the really good bajas.

 This bug is tied for my favorite baja at the show. This is NOT a show car but a real off-road beast. Check out www.bajas.8m.com if you don't believe me.

 This is the other baja tied for my favorite at the show. If I were to put my baja in a show this is how I would do it. Anyone got any info on this bug?

 It might have a Ford engine in it but it gets the job done. Other than the engine choice lots of good ideas on this baja

&nbps;

 This one may never go off-roading but it looks nice and has a great setup for off-road. Don't let the Class 5 numbers on the side fool you.

 Another baja that probably lives in a garage. The roof scoop might look cool but the first low branch and its gone along with your oil with your engine probably soon to follow.

 A great looking clean baja. Note that the 8 foot fiberglass whip antenna with flag is required if you plan on off-roading on the sand.

 This baja looks nice but probably doesn't go off-road. With a chrome tube bumper how could it?

 Another baja that looks nice but probably doesn't go off-road. Nice paint, shiney wheels, chrome tube bumper?...na. I do like the ragtop though.

 Good ideas on this baja. Roof rack to hold camping gear. A spare tire is always good. Good ground clearance. Another baja that might see limited off-roading but I'm not for sure.

 Most of us have seen this baja in Hot VW's but it has more bad ideas than good. Clamp on coil overs, roof scoop, nice paint, not a good off-road car.

 Don't even get me started on this car. More money was probably spent on the paint job than what I have in my entire car!!

Thats right!! Fleg walks the parking lots looking for bajas to put on the webpage. Lets see what I found at this show.

 If I were a betting man I would say this car does see some off-roading. Another car with a roof rack. This one has side mounted off-road lights that could get ripped off or broke with a rock.

 Look at all the VW's in the parking lot!!! Just goes to show VW's are alive and well in Phoenix.

 Don't you like the way bajas stand out in a crowd!! To bad they are street cars, now way they going off-road with that paint job.
